Play Your Way

There’s no right way to play.

  • Play solo like an immersive mystery novel
  • Work through it with a friend or partner

Play for 10 minutes… or lose yourself for hours.

At home, in the car line, at practice, or on the couch—your investigation fits your life.

How the Investigation Works

1. Investigate the Cold Case: Review police files from Det. David in 2016.

2. Take notes: Use the provided worksheets to keep track of what you see and read, and who you think are suspects or just witnesses. You will want to refer to them as the investigation unfolds.

3. Investigate the Fresh Murder Case: Review the case files that Det. Jacobs sees in 2020.

4. Take (more) notes: There is also a worksheet for this new murder to help you keep track of things you believe are clues and vital to the fresh murder investigation.

5. Solve Both Murders: Use the storyline and characters that extend across both cases, the interviews (very important), and the other case files to untangle the truth behind these two intertwined cases to reveal who killed Tessa — and who killed Carol.
